KINGSTON – When Dietz Stadium in Kingston gets its state-funded makeover, it will include a bank of electric vehicle charging stations, paid for by the New York Power Authority.
Mayor Steven Noble said those will provide an added amenity to draw visitors to the city.
“Dietz Stadium is a great opportunity to get people off the Thruway to Uptown Kingston and Dietz is within walking distance to a great, vibrant business district, so we think it is really the best location,” he said.
“The fast-charging EV station is not only a benefit to our entire community, it supports our city’s larger green initiatives and sustainability efforts,” said Noble.
