LIBERTY – A man who shot himself to death in the Town of Rockland is believed to have been the person who shot and killed a New Jersey federal judge’s son and wounded her husband in their New Brunswick home Sunday, the FBI announced on Monday.

The man has been identified as Roy Den Hollander, 72, a New York City attorney. He was found in a car in a grassy area off the shoulder of Ragin Road. He was found with a single gunshot would to the head.

The shooter had gone up to the front door of Judge Esther Salas’ house and when her 20-year-old son answered, he fatally shot him and then wounded her husband.
