TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – A 13-year-old girl was attempting to help an injured squirrel on Monday afternoon when the furry critter bit the youth.
Arlington firefighter/EMTs responded to the call on Arlington Avenue Monday afternoon to assess the child’s wound. According to Arlington Fire Chief Bill Steenbergh, the patient refused medical assistance.
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police and Animal Control Officer assisted at the scene.
