Police rescue ducklings from storm drain

CHESTNUT RIDGE – Ramapo Town Police and other town employees are credited with saving a duck family after nine babies were trapped in a storm drain.

Residents of Chestnut Ridge contacted the police to report that a few ducklings were trapped in the drain. 

With the help of the police department’s Dog Control Officer Cathy McGrath and Town of Ramapo Highway Department workers, the officers were able to reunite the nine ducklings with their mother and three siblings.
