MONTICELLO – Bonnie Finkel of Port Jervis stood in front of the Sullivan County Government Center in Monticello on Wednesday calling for closure in the death of her son.

Justin Finkel, 14, and Devin Zeninger, 16, both of Rock Hill, were walking along Glen Wild Road in Rock Hill on June 2, 2019, when a car driven by former judge Isaac Kantrowitz struck and killed both boys.

The case is “pending investigation,” Acting Sullivan County District Attorney Meagan Galligan told Mid-Hudson News on Wednesday.

Finkel said she wants closure in the death of the two teens.

“Sullivan County has done nothing but give us excuses, lies. It’s ridiculous. Everyone can see the corruption going on here. These boys deserve justice. Please. Something has to be done. We need closure,” she said.

Galligan said her office has met with the families. “They know the status of the investigation. I hope to have closure one way or the other,” the DA said.

Finkel joined members of other families outside the government center on Wednesday. They were protesting the appointment of Judge Michael Maguire as the new county attorney.
