NEWBURGH – Fire on Saturday damaged a house at 87 West Street in the City of Newburgh.
When firefighters arrived on the scene around 3:30 p.m., flames were coming from the second floor.
A second alarm was sounded bringing out mutual aid from West Point, and the Stewart Air National Guard. On standby at the public safety building were Coldenham and Goodwill.
A deputy Orange County fire coordinator, Mobile Life Support Services and Newburgh City Police were also assisting on the scene.
There was one unconfirmed report of a firefighter sustaining a back injury.
