HAMLET OF WALLKILL – A 49-year-old hamlet of Wallkill man was killed Saturday afternoon when the ATV he was operating on a service road off Cottage Street in Wallkill struck a chain that was extended across the road causing him to fall off the vehicle.
State Police said Michael Morris was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Responding emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures at the scene and subsequently pronounced him dead at the scene.
