ALBANY – New York Governor Cuomo, Sunday, issued an executive order directing employers to provide essential workers with cloth or surgical masks free of charge to wear when directly interacting with the public.

That is the latest effort to keep the spread of the coronavirus down.

Also, effective immediately, customers who travel on New Jersey Transit trains are required to use face masks or face covering.

Since NJ Transit operates Metro-North’s Port Jervis and Pascack Valley lines, the new rule applies to them as well.

That order came from New Jersey Governor Murphy.
