Yonkers Police charge New York City man with murder

YONKERS – A 56-year-old New York City man was charged on Wednesday with murder in the shooting death of a White Plains man.

Yonkers Police were called to an apartment in the Palisades Towers complex on Schroeder Street just before 6 p.m.

an apparent gunshot wound to his thigh resulting in a large loss of blood. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police investigated by conducting witnesses, surveillance video, forensic and ballistic evidence.

The suspect, Eric Greer, 53, was apprehended a short time later on the Taconic State Parkway.

Greer was charged with one count of Murder 2, a class A-I Violent Felony.
