Sea and anchor evolutions are the procedures used by the United States Navy vessels when arriving in and launching from ports of call during their voyages, according to Navy veteran and current City of Poughkeepsie Deputy Fire Chief Joe Franco.

Iwo Jima is on a scheduled underway conducting training in the Atlantic Ocean.
