CORTLANDT – Two Mahopac residents were arrested on March 27 following a break-in and burglary at a residence on 13th Street in the Verplanck area of Cortlandt.
State Police arrested Tiara Frederick, 23, and Giovani Fernandez, 26, on charges of burglary and criminal mischief, both as felonies.
Troopers said the couple forcibly entered the home of people with whom they were familiar.
A fight occurred leading to Frederick suffering a non-life-threatening stab wound. She was transported to Westchester Medical Center for treatment.
Both Frederick and Fernandez were released on appearance tickets pending a future court appearance.
