NEW CITY – State Senator David Carlucci (D, New City) is asking hotels and motels in Rockland and Westchester counties to contact his office if they can provide free rooms to health care and EMS workers in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our health care and EMS workers are heroes, and they are going home in fear,” said Carlucci. “They are having to isolate themselves from loved ones because they are nervous to expose family members to COVID-19 or become infected. Let’s help our health care and EMS workers feel safe and lessen their anxiety. They have enough to deal with right now. If area businesses are willing to offer free rooms, then we will connect them with hospitals in the area.”

Hotels and motels who would like to help can reach Carlucci’s office at (845) 623-3627 or (914) 941-2054 between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or email the senator at carlucci@nysenate.gov.

“We are hopeful with this call to action that local hotels and motels will step up because that’s what New Yorker’s do in times of need,” said Carlucci.
