February Ulster County home sales up by double-digits

KINGSTON – Sales of single-family homes in Ulster County during the month of February increased by 31.6 percent over February 2019 levels.

The Ulster County Board of Realtors said 125 homes were sold, compared with 95 the year before.

Homes also sold a little faster in the second month of the year. The average home was on the market for 111 days, compared to 120 days in 2019.

The average selling price was down by 7.3 percent, going from $266,275 in February 2019 to $246,763 this year.

Year-to-date, home sales rose by 19.7 percent with 237 homes sold in the first two months of this year, compared with 198 in 2019.

The average selling price in January and February combined was $258,142, compared with $265,782 last year.
