GOSHEN – Orange County has no confirmed cases of the coronavirus, but as a precaution, Sheriff Carl DuBois, in consultation with Health Commissioner Dr. Irina Gelman, has temporarily halted contact visitations at the county jail in Goshen.

The move has been undertaken as a safeguard for inmates and staff.

Clergy and attorneys needing access to inmates should contact 845-291-7682 to arrange appointments for admittance. Those visits remain at the discretion of the sheriff based on health-related circumstances.

The sheriff’s office is also exploring Internet-based video visitation and will update if that becomes available.
