MONTICELLO – Sullivan County Commissioner of the Office of Family Services is on paid administrative leave, county spokesman Daniel Hust confirmed on Friday.
He declined to go into details and County Legislature Chairman Robert Doherty would only say it was a personnel matter.
Todora is believed to have worked for the county for close to three decades. He has been commissioner of the department since January 2016 and was acting commissioner starting in February 2015.
The reason why the county has taken the action against Todora could not immediately be learned; however, sources said he was escorted out of the county government center in Monticello on Tuesday, February 18.
