SLEEPY HOLLOW – State Senator Peter Harckham has denounced the discovery of a swastika and racial slurs in a bathroom at Sleepy Hollow High School.

“There is absolutely no place for hate and intolerance in our communities, in our state and in our country – period,” he said. “Acts like those at Sleepy Hollow High School, which are meant to divide us and tear the fabric of inclusion that has characterized our great nation, require a full investigation and strong legal resolution.”

In the meantime, Harckham said “it is obvious that all of us will need to work that much harder to pull our communities toward ideals that reflect the best in our human nature.”
