ELIZAVILLE – The body of a man who was last seen by his family on the evening of December 4 was found dead on the Dutch Hollow Farm property in Stuyvesant, Columbia County Sheriff David Bartlett said.
The investigation and search for William Amato began on December 5 when his vehicle was located on the far and a family member reported him missing.
Sheriff’s deputies and investigators located his body on Thursday and family members were notified.
At this time, police said it does not appear to involve any foul play; however, the investigation is continuing and investigators are awaiting autopsy results.
