Saugerties man arrested on charge of forcible touching

TOWN OF ULSTER – Police in the Town of Ulster have arrested a Saugerties man for the misdemeanors of forcible touching, criminal obstruction of breathing and the violation of harassment.

Steven Lopez, 30, was arrested on November 26.

Ulster Police were called to the Courtyard by Marriot at 500 Frank E. Sottile Boulevard for a report of a sex offense committed by an employee.

The investigation determined Lopez, an employee at the hotel, had unwanted contact with another individual.

Lopez was taken into custody on an arrest warrant for the charges and was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond pending a future court appearance.
