GOSHEN – The Dwaar Kill Bridge in the towns of Montgomery and Crawford has re-opened.

County Executive Steven Neuhaus said the bridge “provides safety and convenience” for residents in the two towns and was re-opened in a timely manner.

The project budget was approximately $690,000, with design and construction completed by the Orange County Department of Public Works.

The Dwaar Kill Bridge, which had been closed since July 2019 for replacement, carries Fleury Road over the Dwaar Kill, along the border of the towns of Montgomery and Crawford.

The single-span bridge was built in 1934 and is 33-feet wide by 40-feet long.
