MID-HUDSON – Kingston City Mayor Steven Noble was among the Democratic candidates swept into victory in Ulster County on Tuesday.
Noble defeated two challengers.
Poughkeepsie City Mayor Robert Rolison, a Republican, easily won re-election.
It was a different story in the City of Beacon, though, as Mayor Randy Casale, a member of the Independence Party, who also ran on the Republican line, was defeated by City Councilman Lee Kyriacou, a Democrat.
In another upset, Wallkill Town Supervisor Edward Diana, a Republican, lost to political newcomer, Frank Den Danto III. “The Town of Wallkill turns blue,” said Town Democratic Chairwoman Maria Patrizio.
