UNITED KINGDOM – The West Point Black & Gold Sandhurst team sent eight cadets to compete in the British Army’s Cambrian Patrol Exercise, considered by many to be the toughest patrolling exercise in the world.

The event featured nearly 100 teams from across the United Kingdom and the world.

This year, the Black and Gold team was the only international cadet team to participate and was one of the fastest to finish traveling nearly 55 miles in 43 hours with 80 pound rucks.

The team was awarded the Silver Medal, which is only awarded to the top 15-20 percent of teams.
