KINGSTON – The Ellenville/Wawarsing area of Ulster County continues to be economically challenged and County Executive Patrick Ryan wants to change that.
Ryan would like the county to assist that area apply for a $10 million state Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant.
“I think we are going to put together a really exciting DRI proposal for next year, which they weren’t able to do last year,” he said. “At the county level, we are going to provide significant resources to support economic growth in Ellenville and in all of the corners of the county.”
The City of Kingston was a recipient of a $10 million DRI grant as were the cities of Middletown, New Rochelle and Peekskill.
