WEST POINT – The body of West Point Cadet Kade Kurita, who was reported missing last Friday, was found at 9:47 Tuesday night, West Point officials said.
Kurita, of Gardena, California, was 20 years old.
“We are grieving this loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to Cadet Kurita’s family and friends,” said Superintendent Lt. Gen. Darryl Williams.
Military Police, State Police, Coast Guard, CSX Railroad Police, local authorities and the 23rd Military Police Company from Fort Drum assisted in the extensive search over the last four days.
USMA officials did not say where Kurita’s body was located.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and cause of death are ongoing.
