HUDSON VALLEY – Republican Sullivan County clerk candidate Russell Reeves is endorsed by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 445, the union that represents the county employees who work in the county clerk’s office.

Reeves “has the credentials and track record that our members are looking for,” said Ray Stanishia, business agent for the union, who said both candidates were carefully vetted.

The union cited Farrell’s nearly quarter century of “distinguishes and honorable service, extensive experience in criminal law and commitment to public safety,” said PBA Vice President David Abram. “You have always been fair and impartial in the administration of your office. You have shown your commitment to this community and your dedication to public service in action and deeds.”

Farrell said he has worked with “these fine public servants for the last 24 years and know first-hand their dedication to public service, public safety and the cause of justice in our county.”

Town Supervisor Edward Diana, a Republican, received the packing of two labor organizations in his campaign for re-election in the Town of Wallkill.

The Hudson Valley Building and Construction Trades Council and Town of Wallkill Police Benevolent Association both endorsed Diana for a second two-year term.

The building trades council is an affiliation of 28 union locals representing over 10,000 members. Council President Todd Diorio announced the endorsement.

Jeremy Warner, president of the PBA, said the union is backing Diana “Due to your tireless work ethic and constant dedication to public safety.”
