TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – An autopsy has confirmed that the body of a woman found in a vehicle near the Bear Mountain Bridge on September 28 was that of Audrey Grogan, 52, the Town of Poughkeepsie woman whose husband had told their son earlier that he had killed her.
On October 3 as the investigation continued, Poughkeepsie Town Police, State Police and other agencies continued to search the Bear Mountain Bridge area for George Grogan, 59. During that search, investigators located a man’s body in the area and an autopsy confirmed the body was that of Grogan.
Police have not released the manner by which either person died.
