CATSKILL – A Niverville man was charged on Sunday with felony DWI because of a previous conviction in 10 years, after he was clocked doing 100 mph in a 55 mph zone on a motorcycle in the Town of Catskill.

State Police at the Catskill barracks said Michal Cristaldi, 34, failed to comply with a vehicle and traffic stop on Route 23, made a U-turn on Paul Horn Road to Cauterskill Road and as he approached an S-turn on Cauterskill Road, he lost control and came to rest in a marshy area.

Cristaldi, who was uninjured, was also charged with a felony violation of probation, fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle and several vehicle and traffic law violations. He was remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail pending a future court appearance.
