KIAMESHA LAKE – Sports betting was launched at Resorts World Catskills on Thursday in conjunction with the start of the NFL season.

The state legislature this year approved sports betting for Resorts World and three other casinos.

The new sportsbook facility enables patrons to watch and place wagers on a variety of sporting events. The lounge, known as Sportsbook 360, includes more than 35, 75-inch flat screen TVs arranged in a 360-degree arc around a central bar and anchored by a nine-foot by 16-foot high-definition screen.

“We are thrilled to offer patrons access to Sportsbook 360 for a unique, integrated gaming and lounge experience within our casino resort,” said Resorts World Catskills President Ryan Eller. “We are committed to providing unparalled gaming to the region and the sophistication of our sportsbook perfectly complements our diverse gaming offerings, allowing patrons to watch games, place wagers, and enjoy even more entertainment and traditional casino gaming.”
