Kingston man indicted on assault, criminal sex act charges

KINGSTON – A Kingston man was indicted by an Ulster County grand jury on charges of assault, criminal sex act, criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of unlawful imprisonment, and intimidating a victim or witness, all as felonies, and six misdemeanor charges including three counts of menacing, two counts of drug possession and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Orion McLeod, 47, also known as Orion Ector, of 128 Hendry Street, was arrested on August 21 following an investigation by Kingston City police. Police were called to HealthAlliance Hospital’s Broadway Campus.

The crimes were alleged to have occurred at a Smith Avenue apartment.

Three victims from this incident were identified.
