ROSENDALE – A transitioned woman in Rosendale, who received harassing hate mail in the summer of 2017, is now mourning the killing of her beloved cat, Rambo, who was found mutilated in a wooded area near her home in June.

Angelina Bouros said the pet was gutted in half with the front portion of its body never recovered.

This was the last straw for the woman who lives at 74 Dellay Avenue.

“I have decided to stand up for myself and to seek some kind of justice for Rambo being that this person does not have the courage to express their opinions to me personally,” she said. “I am painting my whole house the colors of the rainbow and also on the front corner of my property, I am putting up a two-foot by four-foot poster of (Rambo) so this way, the person or persons who sent the mail and killed him are going to not only see my house, but see his picture every time they go by my house.”

Bouros, who transitioned from male to female, said State Police are investigating all the incidents.

Bouros said dozens of volunteers, many of whom she does not know, have promised to attend her house painting, the supplies for which have been donated.
