Woman charged with using stolen driver’s license, debit card

SAUGERTIES – A Mechanicville woman was charged by Saugerties Police with grand larceny, forgery and criminal possession of stolen property in connection with $2,800 received from the Ulster Saving Bank Branch in Saugerties using a stolen driver’s license and savings bank debit card.

Both items had been reported stolen by the owner on August 2 in Lagrangeville.

Brewer

Abby Brewer, 26, was identified as a member of a group called the Felony Lane Gang, responsible for breaking into parked vehicles, stealing purses and using the stolen ID’s, bank cards and bank checks to access victims’ bank accounts and remove cash without owner’s knowledge.

Brewer was arrested on August 22 and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
