SAUGERTIES – A Ruby woman was killed in a motorcycle crash on Blue Mountain Road in the Town of Saugerties.
Tracy McGinnis, 51, was southbound on Blue Mountain Road at around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday when her Harley left the road.
Preliminary investigation reveals she failed to negotiate a curve in the road, traveled off the west shoulder, striking an earth embankment. The bike went airborne, throwing McGinnis.
She died at the scene.
Saugerties Police were assisted at the scene by the Centerville Cedar Grove Fire Department, Diaz Ambulance and the Ulster County Medical Examiner’s Office.
