Woman charged with burglarizing Town of Poughkeepsie residence

TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – A City of Poughkeepsie woman was arrested following an investigation into an April 17 burglary of a School Street residence in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Nicole Tomite, 32, who was known to the victim, turned herself in to police on Tuesday, June 18. She was charged with felony burglary and committed to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

Police learned of the crime when the victim returned home, found her residence had been entered and items were missing.
