NEWBURGH- Safe Harbors of the Hudson, a Newburgh-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives and building community through housing and the arts, has announced its full roster of summer programming. The calendar of events features a robust range of art, music, dance, film, and community events, including Pride on the Green, the organization’s first-ever Pride Month celebration, and its popular Ritz Kidz Circus, a two-week intensive for youth ages 12-18 in which professional circus performers instill self-confidence and teamwork through the fundamentals of tumbling, acrobatics, and clowning.

From Safe Harbors’ Executive Director Lisa Silverstone: “Safe Harbors is thrilled to present a summer chock-a-block full of engaging and exhilarating events and programs spearheaded by our creative team, Ken Martinez, Director of Performing Arts & Community Programming, and Alison McNulty, Director of Ann Street Gallery. We believe that the arts and culture are an essential part of every thriving community. Through partnerships with the City of Newburgh, the Newburgh Farmers’ Market, and so many talented performing and visual artists, we are proud to provide rich creative experiences all season long for our neighbors and for visitors from near and far.”

Located at the heart of downtown Newburgh, most of Safe Harbors’ summer programming will take place outdoors on Safe Harbors Green, a half-acre urban park at the corner of Broadway and Liberty Street. Around the corner, Safe Harbors’ Ann Street Gallery (104 Ann Street), will present its annual summer exhibition featuring work by regional and nationally-renowned artists.

All events are free and open to the public. More details can be found at www.safe-harbors.org.
