LIBERTY- The owner of a Village of Liberty Theater and Bold Gold Media, Sullivan County’s largest radio broadcast company, have teamed up to bring a state-of-the-art broadcast studio to the historic building.
The new studio can be rented by members of the public interested in creating their own podcast productions. The Founder of Bold Gold Media, Vince Benedetto, spoke about the partnership and what it means for Sullivan County.
“It was a no-brainer for us to return to Liberty with this opportunity because we’re big believers in the power of local broadcast radio to help bring a community together,” he said.
Bold Gold’s main studios are in Monticello but had previously been located in the Village of Liberty.
Company general manager Dawn Ciorciari said she was excited about the project. “We’re just really excited to be on Main Street in Liberty and I want to thank our president and CEO, Vince Benedetto for allowing us to do these exciting projects and keep expanding in New York.”
Paul Ciliberto, host of Ciliberto and Friends, said “We get to move the show around the community to different parts of the community like here in Liberty, so I’m excited about that.”
Radio personality Eddie Wilson from WVOS said, “It’s a great opportunity to do more with what we’re doing right now and I do love what I do, so I’m hoping to do as much as possible with this new place.”
Bold Gold’s news director, Mike Sakell, said “For me having been in this market for close to 45 years, it’s a bit of a homecoming as I think many people here from the Town of Liberty and the area feel the same way.”
