Ricardo A. Rodriguez “Rick” passed away on May 27th, 2023, peacefully at home in Middletown, New York, with his beloved wife, Evelyn P. Rodriguez, by his side. Ricardo was born in Bronx, New York, on August 29th, 1950.
He graduated high school and was employed at the MTA of New York City and worked as a bus operator for 27 years before retiring.
Ricardo is survived by his wife Evelyn P. Rodriguez, his daughter Eva Johnson and son Ricardo Rodriguez II from his previous marriage, grandson Ian Ollivierre, siblings Adam Gish and Vincent Singh, relatives and friends.
Ricardo was strong willed and had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences. He will be remembered for his strong lovable personality and powerful choice of words. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them- and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love.
Ricardo A. Rodriguez’s celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, 9:00am-12:00pm at Martinez-Morse Funeral home located at 33 Railroad Avenue Middletown, New York 10940 with the entombment at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Middletown, New York.
