Friends will be received at the funeral home Sunday March 5, 2023, from 2 to 5 pm.

A funeral procession will form Monday March 6, 2023, at 9:00am at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary’s Saint Peter Church at 10:00 am.

Inurnment in St Remy cemetery will occur at a later date.

Patricia Ann Skokan of Browning Terrace died at home on Monday, February 27, 2023, with her daughter at her side. Born in Kingston, New York on March 14, 1937, the only child of the late Theodore and Elizabeth (Smith) Krakowski Delanoy.

Pat was the owner of three Hallmark card and gift stores in Poughkeepsie: The Hello Shop in the Hudson Plaza, The Very Best Cards and Gifts in the 44 Plaza and Pat’s Hallmark in Poughkeepsie Plaza Mall. She traveled throughout the country on extended vacations with her late husband Ralph Skokan. Together they took lessons and then competed in Ball Room Dance competitions. She was an avid collector of unicorn figurines and teacups and saucers. She loved to host company picnics and family get-togethers each summer and the holidays throughout the year. The annual Christmas Brunch with her family was one of her favorite times. In March of 2011 she and Ralph moved from New York to San Tan Valley, Arizona where they lived their “retirement years” until they returned to New York in March of 2017.  In recent years she enjoyed the company of her two cats Winston and Shadow who also moved across the country twice with them.

Surviving is her daughter Terry Lee Macarille, her son Thayne Ryan Macarille and his fiancée Audrey Sapunarich. Granddaughter Brandi (daughter of the late Billie Jo Kremper) and her husband CT Ware and their children Zachary and Sydney. Granddaughter Crystal Bernard (daughter of the late Carl Carson) and her son Jon Robert Hoert.  Several cousins also survive.

Her husband Ralph J. Skokan, and children; Carl Carson, Shawn Boughton- Singh, Billie Jo Kremper, Jami Ra Boughton and grandchildren Jared Thomas Macarille and Kristina Boughton predeceased her.
