It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our sweet soul, Michael Giannone at the tender age of 37.

He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was born in Staten Island and lived there for his elementary school years before moving with his family to Washingtonville, New York. There, he enjoyed swimming in his family’s pool and jumping for hours on end on his trampoline! At times, his dad would take him on tractor-pulled wagon rides up and down the steep incline on their street. Michael also looked forward to visiting the vacation home in White Lake where he would enjoy good food and boat rides on the lake.

At the age of sixteen, Michael moved into the Center for Discovery in Monticello, New York. He thrived there while savoring the days he spent with his mom and Ty, going on long, vigorous hikes through the local parks and thumbing through picture catalogs and coffee table books and photo albums filled with pictures of his family members.

Michael will be sorely missed.

He is predeceased by his parents, Marie and Joe Giannone, and his grandparents, Joe and Theresa Giannone, as well as his Aunt Nancy Costa and is survived by his brother, Joseph; his nephews and nieces, Joseph, Victoria, Dominic and Olivia; by his grandparents, Ann and Tony Marsillo; Aunt Theresa Giannone, and Uncle Anthony Costa; Uncle Tom Marsillo, Uncle Rich Marsillo, Aunt Denise and Uncle Gregg Giordano; and cousins Nancy, Anthony and Nicole Costa, Chris and Daniel Marsillo, Frank Giordano and Angelica and John Febus.

We believe, by faith, that Michael is enjoying long walks and lengthy talks on the golden streets of heaven, accompanied by his loved ones and Jesus who no doubt, greeted him with open arms. Rest in peace Michael, we will miss you. ……. Until we meet again.

The viewing will be held on Sunday, March 5th, 2-6pm at Donovan Funeral Home located at 82 S. Church Street in Goshen, New York. Mass will be held Monday, March 6th at 10 am at St. John’s Catholic Church, 71 Murray Street in Goshen, New York. Michael’s final resting place will be at St. Charles’ Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.
