Luther William Steele of Livingston Manor, NY a retired tractor trailer driver for Queens Farm Dairy and a lifelong area resident, died Friday, September 6, 2024. He was 94.
The son of the late Mildred Gorr Braswell and Theodore Steele, he was born March 6, 1930, in Hazel, NY.
Luther enjoyed NASCAR, carpentry, country music and playing guitar.
Survivors include his wife, Genevieve; one son, Bret (Donna) Steele of Ormond Beach, FL; his stepchildren, Edward (Karen) Gorr, Karen (Tim) Smith, Howard Gorr, Nora (Bob) Reising, and his longtime friend, Michele Kearney; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mildred Gorr Braswell and Theodore Steele; and his siblings, Marion Welton, Agnes Dreher, Raymond Steele, Vernon Steele and Alfred Steele.

Graveside services and burial will be Monday, September 16, 2024, at 11 AM in the Orchard Street Cemetery, Livingston Manor, NY.
