Laura A. Marco a retired Accounts Receivable Clerk for Frontier Communications and longtime resident of the area entered into eternal rest unexpectedly at home on Friday March 10, 2023. She was 72. The daughter of the late Kenneth Sokol and Linda Espenberg Sokol, she was born on August 21, 1950, in Brooklyn, NY.
After Laura graduated from Pine Bush High School in 1968, she went on to work and retire from Frontier Communications in Middletown, NY. Laura and her life partner Pasquale Martucci went on to travel and live a happy life filled with laughter with many adventures with family and friends. Laura loved spending time with her lifelong partner Pat, her granddaughter Rylynn Marco, her great nieces Milan and Maiera Holmes as well as her friends. Laura had a passion for laughing, traveling, nature, heading to the beach, swimming, scuba diving, horseback riding, all while creating such happy memories.
Survivors include her life partner and true love of over 40 years Pasquale Martucci, her sons Michael and his wife Jacie, and Matthew Marco, her Aunt Leona Fernhead and family, brother, Christopher Sokol and his wife Dot, and their sons, granddaughter, Rylynn Marco, her nieces Christine Martucci and Jaclyn Martucci Holmes and her husband Davon, great nieces Milan and Maiera Holmes, Jacinda Martucci, great nephews Devin, Jayse, and Bryson, and many extended family members. Laura was predeceased by her parents and grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 16, 2023, from 4-7pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY.
