Judith Marie Rockefeller, 81, a lifelong Red Hook resident, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the Golden Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Kingston, NY.
Born on June 3, 1942, in Rhinebeck, NY, she was the daughter of the late Philip John and Mildred (Young) Rockefeller. Judy graduated from Geneseo State College and later earned a Master’s degree at the University of Albany.
Judy worked as a Librarian at the Rondout Valley Middle School for many years. Upon her retirement in 1997, she became very active in the Red Hook Public Library’s – Friends of the Library.
Judy was also an active member of St. John’s Reformed Church in Red Hook.
A number of dear cousins; her good friend, David Mitchell; and many other close friends survives her.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Sunday, June 11, 2023, from 4PM to 7PM.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Monday, June 12, 2023, at St. John’s Reformed Church, Red Hook, NY. The Pastor Alisha Riepma will officiate. Interment will take place in the family plot at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Red Hook.
