Joseph John Pecora, 58, of Highland, NY, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at home. He was born on November 3, 1964 in Kingston, NY, son of the late Joseph T. and Eileen (Elsworth) Pecora.
Joe was intellectually and developmentally disabled since birth. He liked playing Connect 4 and playing with blocks. He was good at sorting and enjoyed shredding paper. Above all, his favorite pastimes were going out for coffee, eating at various restaurants, and taking rides in the car. He attended the ARC of Mid Hudson’s Pecora Center Day Hab.
Joe is survived by siblings, Roscoe Pecora and Roxanne Pecora, both of Port Ewen, his aunt, Elizabeth Shelightner and her husband Robert of Port Ewen, and his cousins, Lori Jean McGowan and her husband Brian of Hudson and Chelsea McGowan Goodman and her husband Ivan of Kerhonkson.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY 12466, where family and friends may visit on Monday, February 13, 2023 from 2pm to 7pm. The funeral procession will form at 9:45am on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the funeral home and will then proceed to Immaculate Conception RC Church 467 Delaware Ave., Kingston, NY 12401 where at 11am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston, NY.
