Frances Conti
Sunday, October 21st, 1934 – Saturday, September 28th, 2024
Frances Rizzi Conti, aka Diva, Ne Na Na, Nana Banana, Fran, Frannie, Bae, Frannie May and Sissy went home to Jesus on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at age 89.
Fran was born to Isabella and Vito R. Rizzi on October 21, 1934, in Yonkers, NY. As a child, Fran enjoyed playing basketball, playing with her older brother Angelo, affectionately known as Chip, and getting into mischief.
In the early 1950’s, Fran met her husband and love of her life, Vincent, affectionately known Vinny or Sonny to many friends, and married on November 26, 1955, and went on to have 3 beautiful and loving children Maria, Vinnie and Tony. Fran and Vinny moved from their home in Mohegan Lake to a townhouse in Brewster, NY in 2003. While residing in Brewster they also owned a condo in West Palm Beach, Florda where they enjoyed their winters as snowbirds.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; Fran also loved donating to numerous charities and prided herself on being a devout Catholic. Throughout her entire life, Fran held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with others. Often Fran would be found sitting in her kitchen with candles lit for special intentions and rosary beads in hand.
Fran joins her father, Vito R. Rizzi, mother, Isabella Rizzi, and siblings, Rose Carozza, Laura DeFilippo, Antoinette Garrambone, and Angelo A. Rizzi who have predeceased her. Fran is survived by her sister Victoria McLaughlin (Tom), Children, Maria Conti-Oakes (Gary), Vincentella Algiere (Kenneth), Anthony Conti (Christine), Grandchildren, Frances Ferrusi-Shumway (John), Vinessa Malick (Ryan), Samantha Oakes-Plantemoli (Joseph), Vincent Conti (Stephanie), Anthony Conti (Natalie), Taylor Bartz (Josh), Nicolette Algiere (Keith), Daniel Zachary Algiere and Great Grandchildren Adaline Malick, Landon Malick, Carter Joseph Simone and Angelina Conti.
Psalms 23:4 KJV: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Arrangements: Family and friends of Fran are welcome to join us in celebrating her life on Wednesday, October 2nd from 1p-8p at Balsamo-Cordovano Funeral Home located at 15 Church Street, Carmel, NY 10512. A Catholic funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 10am at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church located at 1377 E Main St, Shrub Oak, NY 10588. Immediately following the funeral mass, a Christian burial will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Cemetery located at 100 Mill St, Putnam Valley, NY 10579.
