GOSHEN – A 52-year-old Middletown man has been convicted by an Orange County Court jury of all charges against him, including forcible rape in the Town of Crawford.

Jesse Boniface faces 25 years in prison when sentenced in December.

As alleged at trial, on November 17, 2023, in Crawford, he engaged in sex by forcible compulsion with another person. The incident was promptly reported to Crawford Police, who conducted an investigation and arrested Boniface.

“The vile allegations, as proven at trial, are as despicable of acts as one can imagine,” said District Attorney David Hoovler.

He praised the bravery of the victim, “who is forced to live every day with the awful consequences of this defendant’s actions,”

The DA said the conviction “will ensure that this predator is no longer free to terrorize another victim.”
