WARWICK – It has been over four decades since the skeletal remains of Dawn Marino of Westtown were located in a cistern in the Town of Warwick.
The 20-year-old woman was last seen at around 1 a.m. on May 16, 1981 outside the Corner Tavern in Pine Island.
She was reported missing the following day, but it wasn’t until October 31, 1987 – over six years later – that her remains were found.
Over the last 43 years, State Police, Town of Warwick Police, and more recently, the FBI, have investigated the woman’s murder.
Over the years several leads and interviews have been conducted.
