Pig roast held in memory of NYPD officer killed in 9/11 attacks

MAHOPAC – Putnam County’s Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, named its annual pig roast over the weekend in memory of September 11 hero Stephen Driscoll who served with the NYPD Emergency Services Unit, to raise money to fund scholarships and other charitable causes throughout the county.

Driscoll, a resident of Lake Carmel, perished along with seven other Putnam residents on that fateful morning at Ground Zero 23 years ago this Wednesday.

Dozens of law enforcement professionals including Sheriff Kevin McConville and Undersheriff Thomas Lindert and their guests attended the event at Camp Sycamore in Mahopac.
