LOCH SHELDRAKE- The SUNY Sullivan campus has a new labyrinth for students, faculty, and the community to enjoy. The goal of the labyrinth is to provide a safe place where people can go and unwind.
On Thursday, SUNY Chancellor John B. King Jr. had a chance to see the labyrinth while visiting the campus. King was joined by Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther and SUNY Sullivan President David Potash.
The labyrinth is a patterned walking path and Sullivan’s is one of one of three across SUNY’s campuses. According to college officials, the labyrinth reduces stress and alleviates anxiety for those who choose to use it. Sullivan’s labyrinth was funded by a School Beautification Grant from Sullivan 180 and the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund.
