POUGHKEEPSIE – Two-time felon David Coleman, 36, is facing another felony charge after Poughkeepsie city cops found him in possession of a handgun Wednesday night.
Police encountered Coleman after they had been dispatched by 911 for a report of a man with a gun on Orchard Place at 9:47 p.m.
Responding officers encountered a man matching the caller’s description and made contact with the suspect, identified as David Coleman. A loaded 9mm Beretta handgun was found on the twice-convicted felon and he was taken into custody and charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon.
He was processed at police headquarters pending arraignment in city court.
