Middletown Kiwanis Flags for Heroes

MIDDLETOWN- You can be a part of our community’s recognition of the heroes in all our lives – past and present.  Your hero could have served or is serving in the military, be a policeman, fireman, health care worker, teacher, parent, grandparent, or anyone special in your life.  As you can see, heroes come in many forms!

The Flags measure five feet by three feet and will be flown from September 4, 2024, through September 18 at the corner of Schutt Road and Trust Way on Orange Bank & Trust Company property in the Town of Wallkill.  We appreciate the use of the bank’s property again this year for the display.

Think about your hero and then nominate your hero for recognition at this event.  To participate you must fill out an application form, including a $50 fee for a personalized medallion.  The medallion will be mailed to you or your hero or the recipient of your choice following the special presentation ceremony to be held outside Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the corner of Schutt Road and Trust Way.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony.  Local dignitaries will also be in attendance and all heroes will be honored.

To obtain sponsorship forms and for any additional questions please contact The Kiwanis Club of Middletown, PO Box 752, Middletown, NY 10940 or the program chairman via email at gerdakrogslund@frontier.com
