HURLEY – The proposed 2024 Town of Hurley combined general fund and highway fund budgets total $3.5 million, 11 percent less than the 2023 spending plan of $3.9 million and Town Supervisor Melinda McKnight said the new plan includes a small decrease in the property tax levy.
“This is the result of improving efficiency by streamlining services and eliminating redundancies, and budgeting without a reliance on savings,” she said.
The proposed spending plan will go before a public hearing on Tuesday, October 24 with the town board expected to approve it on November 14.
