Police arrest man wanted in February shooting

POUGHKEEPSIE – A 20-year-old Poughkeepsie man wanted in connection with a February 24 shooting that left the victim with serious injuries, was arrested early Friday morning.

Police executed a search warrant at 269 Church Street, second floor in the City of Poughkeepsie at about 5 a.m. and arrested Abdullattif Eladdioui.

He was charged with assault, criminal use of a firearm, and criminal possession of a firearm. The handgun used in the assault was previously recovered by police.

During the course of executing the warrant, a second man, 19-year-old Tymarione Martin, was found in possession of a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun with a defaced serial number. He also was in possession of crack cocaine, which appeared to be packaged for sale.

It was also learned that Martin is under the supervision of the State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both men were held pending arraignment.

The investigation and the warrant execution were conducted by Poughkeepsie City PD’s Neighborhood recovery Unit, the department’s SWAT Team, and the Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force.
